A New Connection is an Invitation to Connect that has been sent to you through direct interaction (scanning a barcode or touching NFC), by email or by SMS.
If someone has sent you an Invitation to Connect by email or SMS and you have entered your details into Jaja, you will receive a notification of a New Connection.
